Mercy Center invites you to join us for our Triduum Retreat Discovering Fire with Father Terrence Devino, SJ and Mercy Center Staff
Dates:
Thursday, March 28, 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 31, 10:00 a.m.
Cost: $300 Single Occupancy/$250 Double Occupancy/Commuters are welcome and are asked to share a free will offering; please RSVP in advance so that we may be adequately prepared.
The Triduum retreat is an opportunity to be still and in touch with the fire energies of love, of God and of life in its deepest sense. We will break bread together, walk the Stations of Love and of the Passion, spend time in emptiness and quiet and light the Easter Fire. All of Mercy Center will be reserved for those seeking a contemplative space to observe the Sacred Triduum. Prayerful liturgies will be held each day and retreatants will be invited to remain in silence throughout the weekend. If you will be joining us on Holy Thursday, you are invited to continue a long-standing tradition at Mercy Center and to bring a loaf of bread to share at table.
Waking Up To This Day: Seeing the Beauty Right Before Us - With Paula D’Arcy
Date: Friday, April 19, 2013, 7:00 p.m. – Saturday, April 20, 2013, 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $215 Single occupancy/$75 per person double occupancy/$100 commuter
Beneath the superficial appearance of things lies a deeper force and a greater purpose – life’s own intrinsic meaning. Paula D’Arcy invites us to see each day before us with new eyes. Awakening is not a concept or a set of holy conditions to attain. It is the direct experience of spirit in life and our full response to that presence. Paula outlines nine key guideposts she has gleaned from her own life experience and reflection. Each “key” is a continuing summons to live in the present moment and to accept the perfection of life as it unfolds. This program is based upon Paula’s book of the same title and is designed for those who are ready to experience a deeper intimacy with ourselves, with others and with all that is. The Great Silence will be observed following the evening session and through breakfast. Click here to find out more.
The World Transfigured: A Workshop for Spiritual Directors: Exploring the path to God through the senses - With Janet Ruffing, RSM
Date: Monday, June 10, 2013, 10:00 a.m. – Friday, June 14, 2013, 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $700 single occupancy/$575 double occupancy/$350 commuter
In our 5 days together, we will explore as spiritual directors the most frequent mediations of religious experience based on qualitative research and our own experience. We will focus specifically on God's self-revelation through nature, music, the visual arts, visions and voices to hone our skills in accompanying our directees who primarily experience God through these mediations. The workshop will be both experiential and informative. Click here to find out more.
